Stanthorpe is the only place in the world – outside the States of course – that Johnny visited regularly, for some two decades – and not to play music! Johnny took an instant liking to our little town and its surrounding districts of apple and stone fruit orchards, vineyards, and a wide and empty countryside where he enjoyed riding, hunting and overall…the anonymity.
Celebrating the historic ties between Stanthorpe and Johnny Cash & June Carter, The Johnny Cash Country Festival is an annual tribute festival showcasing some of the best Johnny Cash & June Carter cover musicians from around the world. A truely unique festival held in a unique town that will inspire all country music and cash fans alike.
